Biography
Anastasia Maximov was born in 1994 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
At the age of 7 she began her studies in the National M. K. Ciurlionis School of Arts where she studied under teachers Ugne Kondrotaite and Rusne Mataityte.
After graduating from high school, she continued her education at the University of Music and performing Arts in Vienna, where she studied under professors Anton Sorokow and Lothar Strauß, and graduated with honors in 2022.
Additionally, she honed her skills by attending masterclasses with Zakhar Bron, Dora Schwarzberg, Petru Munteanu, Igor Ozim, Krzysztof Wegrzyn, and Alexander Gilman, and also completed the summer academy program offered by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Salzburg.
During her education, she won the first prize of the Stephanie Hohl Competition in Vienna and second prize at the Villa de Llanes Competition in Spain among others.
She has played in many orchestras in Austria and is currently actively participating in concerts with Vienna Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Philarmonic/Vienna State Opera Orchestra.
In 2021 she won a two-year academy-trainee contract in the Tonkünstler Orchester.
As concertmaster, has played on the numerous European stages, including the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein and Wolkenturm in Grafenegg, with renowned musicians and conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Lorenzo Viotti, Andrés Orosco-Estrada, Hakan Hardenberger, Collin Curry.
As soloist, has played with the Webern Kammerphilarmonie, Solisten KammerOrchester and others.
Also actively plays chamber music, having played as part of the Salzburg Festival, Grafenegg Festival, Graz Musikverein Chamber music cycle and others.
Since 2017 she is playing the Michele Deconet (Venice, 1748) violin, generously loaned by a private sponsor.
